Corals grow very slowly and create stunning reefs but every year, yacht anchors and chains destroy them. The chain drags along the seabed and “damages the seagrass that acts as a nursery for fish stocks, help to prevent coastal erosion and absorb carbon from the atmosphere.”, We chose our symbol to be an anchor to remind us that by anchoring in the sand, we can avoid destroying the coral. We give a portion of our sales to the Ocean Conservation Trust that is developing an advanced mooring system that will provide relief to sensitive habitats.
